Type of product  
  • Savings account in Thai Baht with passbook.
Minimum deposit
  • Minimum deposit for account opening is THB 500.
Privileges
  • Eligible to use Krungsri Thai Debit card for unlimitedly balances enquiry and money withdrawal from any ATM of any Banks without charges.
Terms of service 
  • Customers opening the Krungsri Thai Savings account can use a Krungsri Thai Debit card only.
Applicant qualifications
  • Individual foreigners who are permitted having permanent resident  in Thailand according to resident baht account of the Bank.

  • The Bank will pay interest according to the Bank’s Announcement on Krungsri Thai Savings Interest Rate. The interest will be calculated on a daily basis and paid semiannually on the day before the last banking day of June and December
  • The total interest not exceeding 20,000 Baht throughout the tax year (subject to the terms stipulated by the Revenue Department) shall be exempted from taking for calculating the personal income tax.
  • Interest calculation: 
1. Calculation of savings interest of each day  =    Krungsri Thai Savings Account Rate
2.Calculation of savings interest of each deposit period =Krungsri Thai Savings Account Rate

1. Fee charging for monthly average balance less than 20,000 Baht 100 Baht per month
2. Fee charging when an account is inactive for 12-months consecutively and having balance no more than 2,000 Baht. None

Note: This deposit is protected by the Deposit Protection Agency according to the amount specified under the regulation. At present, the maximum amount shall be no greater than 50 million Baht until August 10th, 2015. Then, it will be decreased to be no greater than 25 million Baht until August 10, 2016 and then, no greater than 1 million Baht from August 11, 2016 onwards
