Krungsri joins forces in launching ESG Declaration to expedite sustainable development toward better and greener economy

Recently,
Mr. Seiichiro Akita, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ayudhya PCL, and a co-sponsoring CEO of the Sustainability Theme of the Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA),
Mr. Poonsit Wongthawatchai, Executive Vice President, Head of ESG Division, together with senior executives of TBA member banks, jointly launched the ESG Declaration.
Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and
Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, presided over the event held at the Bank of Thailand Learning Center.
This collective effort marks a momentous milestone for Krungsri, reflecting its unwavering commitment to the spirit of banking with purpose and doing better business for the society. Serving as a key driver for the business sector's transition toward a low-carbon economy, Krungsri promotes sustainable economic and social development for Thailand’s better and greener economy in alignment with national and international goals.
Krungsri plays an important role in jointly formulating the ESG Declaration approved by TBA member banks and Board of Directors, as well as the Bank of Thailand.
