Krungsri appoints Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Group

Bangkok (6 July 2021) – Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) has appointed Mr. Prakob Phiencharoen as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Group and Acting Head of Investment Banking Division, Corporate and Investment Banking Group, Commercial Banking, effective from 1 July 2021 onward.

Mr. Prakob has over 25 years of banking experience from leading domestic and international financial institutions. He has drawn on his invaluable experience and expertise, to successfully drive corporate and investment banking business of Krungsri with effective strategic planning and competent management. He is a key person in expanding and enhancing global business opportunities for clients, by leveraging Krungsri and MUFG expertise and network. His achievements constantly and greatly contribute to outstanding performance and solid growth of Corporate and Investment Banking Group. Krungsri believes that he will leverage his experience and expertise to further enhance Krungsri’s corporate and investment banking business in order to enhance commercial business, support business customers in business expansion both domestically and internationally through MUFG networks under the business chain, so as to create added value to customers according to Medium-Term Business Plan.

In addition to Mr. Prakob’s appointment, Krungsri has appointed 2 executives under Corporate and Investment Banking Group as follows:

Mr. Thongchai Vajapattana, has been appointed to, Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Banking Division in charge of Thai corporate customers.

Mr. Saran Sasanavin, has been appointed to, Executive Vice President, Head of Global Corporate Banking Division, in charge of Thai corporate customers with overseas business networks.

Mr. Prakob holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Master of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Florida, USA, and a Master of Arts in Economic Law from Chulalongkorn University.
