Bangkok (28 April 2021) – Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL), reinforcing its customer-centricity strategy while moving forward to be the preferred Thai bank, launches “Krungsri Tamjai Health Insurance” developed from the needs of customers from various occupations to provide life and health insurance coverage in a lump sum. The plans can be adjusted to meet their needs, including installment plans, eco premium plans, add-ons, and adjustments of coverage, all as they please, to satisfy the working-age population which includes salaried employees, SMEs, and freelancers.
Mr. Phonganant Thanattrai, Krungsri Head of Retail and Consumer Banking, said “Given the current situation where new dangerous diseases have arisen, causing unavoidable financial burdens to people, advanced medical evolution also had an impact on increasing hospital expenses. Even though many people rely on the gold card welfare provided by the government, civil servants’ welfare, social security, or even group insurance provided by private companies, these benefits often fail to cover the expenses, and therefore, health insurance becomes essential for everyone. Nonetheless, health insurance products currently available in the market are quite costly and can be burdensome to people in the working-age group who already bear running expenses. Krungsri understands these issues so we have designed an insurance product, offering flexibility as to the premium payment and adjustable coverage, and this is how our newest product “Krungsri Tamjai Health Insurance” came to be.
“Krungsri Tamjai Health Insurance” is a health insurance product offering coverage in a lump sum with flexible plans adjustable to the needs of customers in different lifestyles and occupations. The three plans aiming at meeting different needs from each group of the working-age population include “Boa Jai Plan”, “Oun Jai Plan” and “Sabai Jai Plan”. For freelancers, the plan gives an option to lower premiums by providing monthly, quarterly, or bi-annually premium payment plan options including deductible plans. For employees, an option to lower premiums from those under existing health insurance plans is available. For SMEs, they can choose any additional coverage as they need either OPD expenses, daily income compensation, or critical illness coverage.
For this new product
“Krungsri Tamjai Health Insurance”, the sum assured under this health insurance is adjustable at 500,000 baht, 3 million baht, and 10 million baht, respectively, and it is available for any customers aged 16 to 70 years old (renewal up until 79 years old, coverage until 80 years old). This product offers various options of a premium payment plan with deductibles to lower annual premiums and comes with riders developed to better satisfy customers, covering inpatient or outpatient treatment due to common diseases, contagious diseases, and accidents. Additional coverage can be selected as needed, whether for critical illness, daily income compensation, or OPD expenses, and it also covers IPD expenses and day-surgery. In addition, a maturity benefit of basic policy is available, and health coverage is provided during the policy term.
“By focusing on the customer-centric strategy, Krungsri is set to develop insurance products which can cater to customers with different needs and lifestyles. We sincerely hope that “Krungsri Tamjai Health Insurance” will give customers easier access to life and health protection with plans and coverage adjustable to their needs and current economic conditions,” concluded Mr. Phonganant.
