Krungsri launches pre-emptive measures for COVID-19 prevention, suspending currency exchange service

Bangkok (13 March 2020) – Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) introduces proactive measures in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) taking into account the safety of all customers, employees, and visitors. The Bank, therefore, temporarily suspends its currency exchange services at all branches and forex booths nationwide, starting 13 March 2020, at 13.00 hrs. The suspension of the service will continue until the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic will improve. In this regard, customers may continue to use the Bank’s forex services by applying for the Krungsri Boarding Card service via Krungsri Mobile App (KMA) for convenient, speedy, and safe transactions.

The Bank’s employees working at all forex booths are instructed to self-quarantine at home for 14 days.

Krungsri emphasizes its strict preventive measures imposed in accordance with prevention guidelines of the Department of Disease Control, the Ministry of Public Health. Regular cleaning and disinfection procedures have been strictly carried out in all high-touch surfaces and areas that could be easily exposed to the contagious virus, taking into consideration safe and hygienic services for customers, employees, and visitors.
