Bangkok (20 October 2026) – Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL and its business units) posts 25,572 million baht in net profit for the first nine months of 2026, a 3.9% increase from the same period last year, reflecting the Bank’s resilient earnings performance amid a lower interest rate environment. The increase was driven by robust growth in the corporate and ASEAN portfolios, expansion in net fees and service income, and effective management of funding costs and operating expenses.

Despite challenging lending market conditions, total loans increased by 0.8%, in line with the Bank’s disciplined quality-growth strategy. Growth was underpinned by strong performance in the Corporate Banking and ASEAN portfolios, which expanded by 6.5% and 7.7%, respectively, partly offset by contractions in the SME portfolio and domestic retail loans.

Highlights of Krungsri’s consolidated 9M/26 performance:
  • Net profit: Recorded at 25,572 million baht for 9M/26, representing an increase of 3.9%, or 960 million baht from 9M/25, reflecting the Bank’s resilient earnings performance amid a lower interest rate environment. The increase was driven by healthy loan growth led by the corporate and higher-yielding ASEAN businesses, the consolidation of TIDLOR portfolio, proactive funding cost optimization, and continued improvements in operating efficiency.
  • Loans: Increased 0.8%, or 15,382 million baht from the end of 2025, driven by the Bank's 2026 strategic priorities focusing on quality growth. The increase was supported by sustained growth in Corporate Banking and ASEAN operations, which expanded by 6.5% and 7.7% respectively, while partly offset by contractions in the SME portfolio and domestic retail segments.
  • Deposits: Decreased by 1.7%, or 29,380 million baht from the end of December 2025, primarily reflecting lower time deposits, partly offset by growth in savings deposits. The movement was in line with the Bank's funding optimization strategy, aimed at managing funding costs, enhancing balance sheet efficiency, and maintaining a stable funding base.
  • Net interest margin (NIM): Improved to 4.58% from 4.28% in 9M/25, driven by the higher-yielding loan portfolio from TIDLOR consolidation, as well as the Bank’s continuous effort to optimize funding structure through proactive deposit mix adjustment, repricing initiatives, and efficient debt and borrowing management.
  • Non-interest income: Increased by 3.7%, or 1,444 million baht from 9M/25, demonstrating the strength and diversification of the Bank's fee-based income streams despite the challenging operating environments.
  • Cost to income ratio: Improved to 45.6% from 46.4% in 9M/25. Krungsri remains committed to enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining disciplined expense management to support sustainable business growth.
  • Non-performing loan (NPL) ratio: Improved to 3.19% from 3.26% at the end of December 2025. Meanwhile, the credit cost was recorded at 231 basis points. The coverage ratio improved to 143.1%.
  • Capital adequacy ratio (Bank only): Recorded at 20.46%, compared with 20.69% at the end of December 2025.

Krungsri President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kenichi Yamato, said “Krungsri Group delivered resilient performance for the first nine months of 2026, amid a challenging economic backdrop. Domestic business growth was led by the corporate segment, reflecting continued investment activity in high-growth sectors and ongoing expansion opportunities. Meanwhile, ASEAN loans continued to demonstrate strong growth momentum, reinforcing the resilience of Krungsri Group’s diversified regional franchise and contributing positively to overall business performance”.

Commenting on growth outlook, Mr. Yamato cited that “Looking ahead, Thailand’s economy is expected to remain on a gradual recovery path, supported by sustained private investment, continued export growth driven by the technology upcycle, and ongoing policy support measures. While global uncertainties, flooding impacts, and weak household purchasing power may temper the pace of recovery, Krungsri projects GDP growth of 2.1% for 2026, reflecting the resilience of investment and external demand as key drivers of economic expansion”.

As of 30 September 2026, Krungsri, Thailand’s fifth largest bank in terms of assets, loans and deposits, and one of Thailand’s Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs), reported 1.94 trillion baht in loans, 1.71 trillion baht in deposits, and 2.62 trillion baht in total assets. Krungsri’s capital (Bank only) was strong at 339.51 billion baht, equivalent to 20.46% of risk-weighted assets, with 16.23% in common equity tier 1 capital.
