Bangkok (17 January 2024) –
Krungsri’s (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) development of digital financial technology for business customers has been recognised by three financial innovation awards in 2023, underscoring Krungsri’s commitment to leveraging innovation and technology to develop products and services that meet the evolving and diverse needs of business customers. In addition to serving customers in Thailand, Krungsri also delivers financial innovation and solutions to business customers overseas.
Miss Saisunee Hanprathueangsil, Krungsri Head of Digital Innovation and Data Group, said, “Krungsri prioritises an “Experience First” approach by integrating innovation with a deep understanding of business customers and “Make Life Simple” for our customers. This involves an analysis of customer usage data to create tailored solutions that effectively cater to the diverse needs of business customers. Krungsri has successfully conducted End-to-End (E2E) Digital Transformation initiatives, resulting in the achievement of winning three prestigious financial innovation awards.”
The three prestigious financial innovation awards for services to business customers are:
- Thailand Domestic Technology & Operations Bank of the Year from The ABF Wholesale Banking Awards 2023
- The Innovative Deal of the Year from The ABF Corporate & Investment Banking Awards 2023
- Best SME Mobile Banking Service Initiative from Global SME Banking Innovation Awards 2023 by The Digital Banker
Krungsri believes that effective products and services should be personalised to elevate the overall customer experience. For example, the Krungsri iPro product enables Krungsri's business customers to seamlessly open accounts and verify their identity without visiting a physical branch. This extends to digital banking solutions designed for business customers through Krungsri Biz Online, an all-in-one platform that facilitates a variety of transactions and accommodates every business type from single-operator businesses to large corporations.
Leveraging Krungsri’s strong position within the MUFG global network, the Bank is dedicated to supporting customers’ Regional Expansion and Connectivity. This commitment involves the continuous development of solutions for international business customers. For example, developing Krungsri Biz Online as a “platform as a service” in order to innovate Krungsri internet banking in Laos, and ensure seamless online transactions for business customers in Lao PDR. This demonstrates Krungsri’s excellence in delivering innovative solutions to benefit customers domestically and abroad.
Securing three awards for the best international digital financial technology in the past year serves as compelling proof of Krungsri's advancements in financial technology and innovation for business customers. In 2024, Krungsri will continue developing enhanced solutions to support the operations of its business customers.
