Krungsri Donates THB 1 million to Support Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Efforts

Bangkok (1 September 2026) — Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL and its business units) donated THB 1 million to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief and recovery efforts following the recent earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The donation reflects the long-standing friendship between Thailand and Japan, as well as the generosity of the Thai people toward a friend in times of need.

“Our deepest condolences go out to everyone affected by the earthquake in Kumamoto. As part of MUFG, we stand with the people of Kumamoto and will continue to support their recovery in the period ahead,” said Mr. Kenichi Yamato, Krungsri President and Chief Executive Officer.

MUFG has also recently contributed JPY 50 million to support earthquake relief efforts in Kumamoto.
