Ayutthaya (3 November 2020)--Than Phu Ying Sirikitiya Jensen (center) graciously presided over the ceremony of installing an elaborately carved apex on the gable of the ordination hall of Wat Choeng Tha, Ayutthaya, which has been completely renovated by Bank of Ayudhya PCL under the supervision of the Fine Arts Department. She was welcomed by Mr. Karun Kittisataporn (4th left), Chairman of Bank of Ayudhya, as well as the Bank’s board members and senior executives.
Wat Choeng Tha, dilapidated over time, is an ancient temple recognized as an important historical treasure dating back to the late Ayutthaya period. The Bank therefore organized a Kathin robe presentation ceremony, from which 6,442,232.40 baht in proceeds jointly donated by Krungsri, the Bank’s executives, staff, and business partners, as well as the general public was provided as financial support for the ordination hall renovation. As a result, the temple has become complete as an important religious site of Buddhism, renowned for its priceless historical, archeological, and culturally-rich heritage where the future generations can take pride in.
